Day 01:-Arrive Srinagar
On arrival at Srinagar airport our representative heartily greets you and assists you to transfer you to houseboat. Check in at Super Deluxe houseboat, freshen up and relax at the luxury of the royal hospitality. In the evening enjoy Shikara ride on Dal Lake and witness the marvel of the nature that is beyond visual and verbal descriptions. The Sun-set view from the Shikara will engulf your heart and leave your spell bound. Later enjoy the welcome dinner
Day 02:-Srinagar to Gurez
Drive towards Gurez via Bandipora district of Jammu & Kashmir. Located at 86 kms from the Bandipora and 123 kms from Srinagar in northern Jammu and Kashmir state, Gurez is a valley situated in the high Himalayas. Road leads from Bandipora to Gurez via Razdan Top (alt. 11672 ft.). Razdan top is rich in medicinal plants. From Razdan Top, Harmukh Peak may be viewed which is one of the highest mountain peaks in Kashmir. Gurez has an altitude of 8,000 feet above the datum and is surrounded by the snow capped mountains. Check in hotel /hut dinner will be served over night stay in Gurez
Day 03:-inn Gurez
After breakfast we roam around gurez, The awesome Habba Khatoon Mountain, pyramid shaped peak lies in Gurez valley. Tulail lake valley The people of the Gurez valley are called "Dards" and they use to live in traditional log wood houses, the unique feature of the valley. The capital of Dards called "Dawar" is located in the Gurez valley and is a famous archaeological site check in hotel / hut dinner will be served over night stay in Gurez.
Day 4- :GUREZ - SRINAGAR
After breakfast leave from Gurez to Srinagar via bandipora Srinagar on arrival check into Houseboat/hotel in the evening take Shikara Ride on the Dal Lake to visit floating Garden, lotus Garden, kaboter Khana (pigeon palace) & inside of the Lake. Return back to Houseboat / hotel overnight stay at Srinagar.
Day 05:-srinagar – airport drop
Morning After breakfast, transfer will be given to Srinagar airport to board your flights for onwards destination our service terminates here. with lots of beautiful memories .
The Major attractions of the Gurez valley are:
- Razdan Pass: It is the highest point between Gurez and Bandipora road, and is situated at an altitude of 3300m. The Razdan Pass provides some of the most breathtaking views of the mountains and the gorges
- Dawar: Dawar is the central block of the Gurez valley spread across over fifteen villages. It provides you the experience of country side and calm life of the locals
- Tulail Valley: Tulail is situated at a distance of around 40kms from Dawar, it’s a cluster of 5-10 villages. The area is famous for its fisheries and especially the freshwater trout
- Harmukh: Harmukh is a mountain with a peak elevation of 5,142 metres (16,870 ft), in Ganderbal district of Jammu and Kashmir. Harmukh is located between Gangabal Lake in the south and KishanGanga-Neelum River in the north. The snow clad Harmukh peak provides quite a spectacular view from the Gurez valley.
- Habba Khatoon Peak: It’s a pyramid like rocky mountain that you will observe when you arrive Dawar, it was named after the Kashmiri poetess Habba Khatoon. It’s believed she used to wander in search of her husband while he was arrested by Akbar. The mountain stands tall by the KishanGanga rivers and gives a scintillating view.
- History of Gurez: Gurez valley was the part of ancient Dardistan, stretching from Sharda Peeth (P.A.K) in the west, Minimarg in the north, Drass the east, and Bagtore-Kanzalwan in the south. The Gurez Valley falls along the section of the ancient Silk Route, which connected the Kashmir Valley with Gilgit. Currently Gurez is a heavily militarized zone as its sits in sight of the Actual Line of control (ALC) between India and Pakistan.
