DAY 01:- ARRIVAL LEH AIRPORT
Pick up from leh airport transfer will be given to leh on arrival check into hotel. Afternoon rest and relax or take a walk to the local market. Evening visit Shanti Stupa . Overnight stay at hotel in leh.
DAY 02:- LEH LOCALSIGHTSEEING
Morning after breakfast, proceed for sightseeing of leh visit; Shey palace: is about 15 kilometres from Leh and is considered one of the most beautiful villages in Ladakh. It also happens to have one of the oldest palaces called the Shey palace. During the summer, the landscape of Ladakh is a contrast between the magnificent mountains and the green meadows of the valleys basking in the sun. The Shey valley was beckoning us.
Hemis Monastery: The Hemis monastery is situated 44 kilometres from Leh. We started out very early in the morning to cover the distance from Leh to the Hemis monastery, on a metal road that winds along the Indus River. It was a vain attempt at beating the crowd because the crowd had the same idea. A cavalcade of jeeps filled with tourists, was hot on our trail.It is the largest monastery in Ladakh; Hemis belongs to the red sect,
Brokpa: Built in 1630, 45 km south from Leh, it is not only impressive and intriguing but also different from the other important monasteries of Ladakh. An annual festival is held for two days in June-July in the courtyard of the monastery to commemorate the birth anniversary of Guru Padmasambhava.
Thiksey Monastery: Situated at an altitude of 3600 m above sea level, the monastery of Tiksey is situated about 20 km far from the town of Leh and ranks among the most important monasteries in Ladakh. It is the seat of Tiksey Rinpoche, the main leader of the Gelug School in Ladakh and is the main and leading monastery for more than ten other famous Ladakhi monasteries such as Diskit, Spituk, Likir, and Stok. It is believed that in the early 15th century, Tsongkhapa, the founder of the reformed Gelug School, sent six of his disciples to remote regions of Tibet to spread the teachings of the new school. DAY 03:- LEH - PANGONG LAKE
After an early breakfast, visit sightseeing places like Shey, Thiksey, Hemis and Sindhu Ghat and then proceed to Pangong via Changla Pass (17,586 feet) and the third highest pass of the world. Pangong Lake is a salt water body of 120 km in length and 6 – 7 Km broad at the longest point. It is bisected by the international border between India & China (2/3 of the lake is in China’s possession).
Visit the exact location of the famous movie “Three idiots” & enjoy outing along the banks of the lake. One really feels very close to nature at Pangong Lake with its scenic surroundings. On a clear sunny day, you can see seven colour formations in the crystal clear salt water lake. Over night stay in pangong in camp.
DAY 04:- PANGONG – NUBRA VALLEY
After breakfast drive to Nubra valley. On the way visit beautiful places arrival check into hotel. Nubra valley is popularly known as Ldorma or the valley of flowers. It is situated to the North of Ladakh between the Karakoram and Ladakh ranges of the Himalayas. Arrive Nubra valley by afternoon and rest of the day at leisure to explore Nubra valley & Diskit Village. Overnight stay at Nubra.
DAY 05:- NUBRA VALLEY – LEH
After breakfast drive to Leh by same root over Khardungla. Afternoon rest and relax or take a walk to the local Market. Overnight stay in Leh.
DAY 06:-LEH – ALCHI – LEH
Morning after breakfast visit Alchi, Ladakh most loved monastery, Enroute visiting Basgo is certainly the most impressive of Ladakh citadels despite its ruined state, Likir gompa situated atop a windy cliff top overlooking the beautiful village of Likir & Phyang Gompa, Located just 6 kms before Leh. Evening back to Leh, overnight stay at Leh.
DAY 07:- LEH AIRORT DROP
Morning after breakfast transfer will be given to airport to board your flight for onwards Destination.our service terminates here with lots of beauteyful memories
